National Federation of the Blind of CT
37th Annual State Convention
October 31, November 1 & 2, 2008

General Information

It's time to gather for the 37th Annual State Convention of the National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut. Each year we meet to share ideas, to inform, to instruct and to have fun with our fellow Federationists, families and friends. Our conventions include updates on technology, division meetings, personal anecdotes, raffles, door prizes, vendors and much more.

This year on Saturday, the Mystic Aquarium will bring their invertebrate Touch and Learn Tank to our convention.

Also on Saturday, we will hold a demonstration of the new knfbReader Mobile, a major advancement in portability and functionality of print access for the blind. The knfbReader Mobile software package runs on a multifunction cell phone that allows the user to read mail, receipts, handouts and many other documents wherever the user happens to be.

Hotel Information

The Sheraton Hartford Hotel is located at 100 East River Drive, East Hartford. The Sheraton is conveniently located off Route 84, across the river from downtown Hartford.
