2010 Update

The election of officers was held on June 12, 2010. We also went out to dinner a few times during the year, including our Christmas party which was held at Vinnie's Backyard Grill. On October 15th, we held a Meet the Blind Month event at Bull's Head Diner. We also participated in 2 book wrapping fund raisers at Borders Bookstore.

November 17, 2009 Update

We meet on the second Saturday of each month, September through June, in the Medical Library Conference Room at the Stamford Hospital from 1:00 to 3:00.

On October 9th, we had "Meet the Blind Month", giving out literature at the Stamford Government Center.

On December 11th and 22nd, we will be doing gift wrapping at Borders Books in Stamford.

In 2010, we will be having chapter elections.

2008 Events

The Stamford Area Chapter meets from September to June on the second Saturday of the month in the library room of Stamford Hospital. About twelve to fifteen members attend our meetings.

We held a luncheon at a local restaurant and we will have another this April. The chapter has two book wrapping events at Borders Books in Stamford to help with fund raising. Some of our members go to speak at the local schools this about Braille.
