The National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut Is holding a Writing Contest!
Topic of Essay: "Why My Long White Cane/Guide Dog is a Symbol of Independence"
Deadline: August 15, 2010

Entrants for this contest must be legally blind residents of Connecticut. All double-spaced, typed entries of 500 words or less must be original, previously unpublished and must be accompanied by this cover sheet. Please submit entries by email to info@nfbct.org or by mail to the NFB of CT, 477 Connecticut Blvd, Ste 217, East Hartford, CT 06108. This information is also available on our website: www.nfbct.org

The winner of the contest will be announced at the September Board Meeting of the NFB of CT. The winner will receive free lodging and registration at our 39th Annual State Convention to be held November 6 & 7 at the Holiday Inn in North Haven. (A winner under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to the convention.)
