The National Federation of the Blind is an organization dedicated to creating opportunities for all blind persons. In the furtherance of this goal, we have established our scholarship program for blind and visually impaired full-time college students. The NFBC also values the importance of a sound education along with proper reading and writing skills. In order to ensure the availability of certified teachers of the blind and visually impaired, we offer a scholarship with funding from the Brendan Cummins Family. Applicants need not be blind or visually impaired. The NFBCT-Coccomo Grant Program is a means through which Connecticut's blind and visually impaired community can receive assistance in the pursuit of training, employment, independent living and technological advancement. |
